Merchandise News – Bill’s Signing Session

All Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide To The Orchestra DVD/Blu-Ray & Inevitable Box Sets To Be Signed

No word of a lie. Bill was so pleased with all of your comments that he has decided to sign all Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra DVD/Blu-Ray and Inevitable Box sets to Christmas and beyond. Order before Monday 21 December and the The Royal Mail elves hope to have it to you before the arrival of the sleigh of Santa. Please opt for Special Delivery if you would like a tracking reference.

Uh-Oh

The X-ray Head tour t-shirt was an overnight success. This means they are sold out, so apologies for that. However, if you simply must have something representative of a French Horn inside Bill’s head, a similar design is featured on the few remaining original t-shirts we have left. Human Slaves (the t-shirts) also proved popular, with only a few left, so hurry if you want to show some solidarity for your brethren in an insect nation.

New Additions To Our Chest-Wear Range

There are a couple of additions to Bill’s chest-wear range; the Moral Guidance t-shirt, sporting “a new certification preferable to Parental Guidance, which can sometimes be unreliable”, says Bill, and the Night Bee t-shirt, portraying “a nightmarish vision of the future where bees are recruited by the government to spy on us”.

Unexpected Bags In The Area

“We are all unexpected items in the bagging area of life”, explains Bill as he views the latest eco bag range. These are really great fun; either black, strong and gusseted – just what we like in a bag – or “natural” (like tights of a similar persuasion), lighter and more easily stuff-into-pocketable, which is what we like our other bags to be like.

The Snellen Chart bags have had people guessing (not to mention rushing to their nearest optician’s, if they could find it) and again, they have proved so popular that we have included the design on a light weight range, perfect for stuffing in to your other pocket or filling some nearby stocking with.

Screen Prints

A few limited edition screen prints are back on-line for sale. Signed by both Bill and artist Joe Magee, these are a special buy, and are likely to feature on some futuristic Antiques Roadshow someday.

Programmes Back in Stock

We also have a limited quantity of programmes from the Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra tour in stock. Once they’ve sold out they’re gone forever!!!!

Signed Copies of the New DVDs Up for Grabs

Posted by Bill on November 11th, 2009

On 23 November 2009, Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra is released on both DVD and Blu-ray disc formats. You’ll be able to hear what a jellyfish sounds like in the High Definition splendidness of Blu-ray, should you choose the latter option.

Also released on the same day will be The Inevitable Boxset, which will not only feature The Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra, but will also include Cosmic Jam, Bewilderness, Part Troll and Tinselworm. It’s going to be a big day indeed and it’s no coincidence that the first jukebox went into operation exactly 120 years ago either. Get ready to rock (in the orchestral sense of the word, of course).

To celebrate the release, we’re pleased to announce that Bill has agreed to sign EVERY copy of the Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra (DVD and Blu Ray) and The Inevitable Boxset that is ordered in our pre-sale before 22nd November 2009.

So, buy your copy now in our Online Store.

Merchandise survey competition winners

Posted by Bombyx Mori on August 4th, 2009

The winners are entry number 2031 on the spreadsheet; merchandise survey completers Steve Kerns and Heather Talbot from Walkden, Manchester. The winning ticket was chosen by Bill, 2031 being the last four digits of the serial number of his train ticket to Manchester.

When told he was the winner, a disbelieving Steve exclaimed ”I’ve never won anything in my life, that can’t be right!”. Once over the initial shock, Steve got it together enough and asked to see the show at The Lowry, Salford, on Sunday 14 June. Post gig, Steve said, “We’ve only really got our breath back from laughing so much – the show was hilarious, and it was great to meet Bill. A true gentleman! Thanks for the opportunity, it was a great show and we were really pleased to meet Bill. Hopefully he didn’t think we were too odd…..”.

Steve is on the right, with Heather next to him. The others are his brother and friend. The bloke without a Bill Bailey poster is Bill Bailey.

Deadline for Christmas Orders

Posted by on December 17th, 2007

Listen up folks, because time is short. If you’re planning on showering your loved ones with Bill Bailey related gifts then you have until 10pm tomorrow, Tuesday 18th, to place your merchandise orders in time for UK Christmas delivery. All orders received after this date will be dispatched in the week commencing 7th January 2008. The BBm office (which handles the orders) will be closed from Friday December 21st to January 7th, so if you have any queries then be sure to get in touch this week.

On a slightly disappointing note, if you’re itching to get your hands on the Tinselworm DVD, then you’d better keep scratching for a while, as distributor Universal are planning to release it late next year to better suit their PGP window of opportunity. This may change however, so stay tuned for updates.

Finally, all that remains is to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Or if you prefer, a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year. Perhaps we’ll all wake up in 2008 to find ourselves living in the future. Or, if the coming of the New Year remains true to form, it’ll just turn out to be the present but with all of us slightly older. But never mind… just savour the present, enjoy your presents, and may you find both happiness and merriment throughout the entire holiday season/Primary Gifting Period.

Bill-y Holiday

Posted by on December 5th, 2007

Bill’s UK tour is now sadly over, and for the many of you who are only just recovering from the audio-visual comedic assault that was Tinselworm, you may be slightly dismayed to find yourself slap bang in front of a certain festive holiday, with all kinds of gift-related worries. Others of you may be experiencing a slightly empty feeling, something akin to a factory rejected Kinder Surprise that is sans toy, and are looking for a way to recapture the Tinselworm experience. Luckily for all of you, help is at hand.

As you are probably aware, the official site now features an entirely digitised version of Bill’s head, and in the new merchandise shop located somewhere behind his right eye is a host of treasures large enough to conceal the base of even the largest Christmas tree, and fill several hundred Kinder eggs. Yes, that’s right… the Tinselworm Tour Merchandise is now available to buy online.

So if you didn’t manage to pick up a Tour Programme at the gig, then now’s your chance to get hold of it (complementary badges, plectrums, Das Hokey Kokey CD and all). Perhaps you could spend this winter reading it by the fireside as you sit cosily in your Tinselworm T-Shirt and sip cocoa from the official Tour Mug. Or if sticking it to the man is more your thing, then you might prefer the anti-corporate “I Ain’t Gonna Be Your Bitch” T-Shirt and Mug combo (which, like all of the tour merchandise, are made using ethical and fairtrade products). Amongst the other items available are Tinselworm Button Badges and BB Signature Plectrums – great for stocking fillers or (top tip coming up…) hiding inside Kinder eggs as a suprise for the true BB fanatic.

All of the previous merchandise, including the recently released ‘Many Moods of Bill Bailey’ songbook, is also still available in the shop. And what with all the audio and video goodies that are concealed within the corridors of Bill’s new online-mind, you should find plenty to occupy yourself with over the long winter evenings. Happy holidays…

The Many Moods of Bill Bailey

Posted by Helper Worm on October 13th, 2007

Well you asked for it…The Many Moods of Bill Bailey is the song book that you’ve been requesting for years, and collects 9 of Bill’s most popular songs from the period of 1995-2005 with accompanying piano music, guitar tabs and lyrics. This collection also features introductions from Bill which gives us background to their creation, and an array of photographs and archive posters. The cover art, a 60s pastiche designed by Joe Magee, is also particularly resplendent, making this far more special than your average songbook, and a real collector’s item.

But the real attraction of owning this book is the knowledge that you will finally be able to recreate Bill’s music in your own home. With music for piano and guitar, and complete lyrics, you have everything you need to bring these songs to life in the comfort of whichever venue you choose to play them.

The Many Moods of Bill Bailey will be available to buy online from the 26th October, priced at £15, but can be pre-ordered now. The first 200 copies sold will be signed by Bill himself, so it’s fastest fingers first to the Merchandise section if you want to make yours extra special. Good luck…
