Bill will be on Sunday’s Open Book on Radio 4 at 4pm (repeated on Thursday 13 May at the same time) chatting about Somerset Maugham. We are informed that it will be the final (and most substantial) item in the programme, although we would, of course, encourage you to listen to the whole show.

It’ll also be available via the web and as part of the Books and Authors podcast. Don’t say we never tell you nothing (for a start, that would be well bad English).
