Gemma:

woo got my tickets! slightly worried that it just says general admission as apposed to actual seat numbers. did everyone get the same thing?

Howard:

Well, am happy to have tickets, but to not tell me where I will be sat is a bit out of order. Not impressed. Still, I'm sure I'll find out some time in October.

Chris McChesney:

Woohoo

I just bought mine for Cardiff. Suffice to say I was here hitting refresh 1000 times. The email didn't mention seat numbers but i'm hoping its good seats.

I want to be close enough to see the crumbs in his beard, the crazy in his eye and the poptarts in his pockets.

Phil Teague:

Hi

What does General Admission mean?

Is that seated etc.

Cheers.

Ian T:

Yay!

Tickets purchased for Nottingham. So nice to see that someone hasn't fallen for the charms of ticketbas*ard and, as a result, I've had no problems getting the tickets.

Shame we won't know until nearer the time where we're sat but the Nottingham Arena isn't the biggest and I'm sure there'll be plenty of troll-o-vision screens for the people at the back.

Now to find the money to pay for them!

Lyndsay:

yay finally i got me some tickets for bill :D

just one query though....what is general admission? i thought id be assigned some seats, hopefull if its first come first serve, ill be in for some guddons :D

Tony:

Woohoo!!!!!!

3rd time I will have seen the 'Bearded One', 1st time for my girl :)

All hail BB ... how long off is November?????

BK:

Relatively painless (a few hiccups with the site @ 0900 were to be expected I suppose). Not sure about the lack of actual ticket numbers though (General Admission?) - hope we do get decent seats for this early bird booking!

daft aider:

I imagine general admission means the seats are automatically assigned or THERE ARE NO SEATS AND YOU MUST SIT ON EACH OTHER!

Suzie:

Wooooh got tickets for Glasgow :D!

Just wondering, like some of the others, what does general admission mean?

Chani:

I have the tears of joy, as if i were opening the laminated-book-of-dreams, after purchasing my tickets. as seats dont seem to be assigned maybe we'll all be sitting on the floor picnic style lol!!
see you in manchester Bill

Mhairi:

I can't buy any. i got up early, despite having the flu and all I keep getting is this message:

ADODB.Command error '800a0d5d'

Application uses a value of the wrong type for the current operation.

/litetickets/pay.asp, line 136

Can someone help me?

Jaz:

You know your too big a Bill Bailey fan when your ticket purchase confirmation comes through by e-mail 3 minutes before and e-mail announcing that they're on sale!!

Woo!!

sarah:

Yay! finally got some! that annoying little grey message box kept telling me tickets onsale at 9am even by 9:15!!!!! But at least I can try to relax and do some work now safe in the knowledge that we have tickets!!!

Why General Admission? Who's he? :)
Will there be anyway of confirming our seats? Or will it be a stampede like at The Plesance in Islington?
Thanks x

WOOOOOOO
MANCHESTER!!!!
time to go plan out my badger themed atire

Ben Rumbold:

Ahhh yes booked in for Cardiff lovely Bill Boyo Bailey see you there... Are we gonna see Barry Evans, the Welsh tribute Bill Bailey? I'm not very good at it, look, waaa, whoooaa... :o)

Anyway, I'm Gideon... AND I'M THE DRUID!! And tonight we present the history of the Celtic people, through the medium, of balloon modellin...

Sorry, just salivatin at two hours of Bill Bailey and that fabulous Welsh accent... :o)

See you there!!

B.

Girly:

Am really concerned about no seat numbers, as the NIA have had their tickets on sale for ages it seems and all the best ones have gone already :o(
Hopefully won't be too near the back!

Fi:

I rang the number on the email confirmation - and spoke to someone who said that they can't confirm seat numbers. Also, we won't find out where we are sitting until we receive our tickets 4 weeks prior to the event.
It's a bit of a shame not knowing whereabouts we're sitting, but in fairness - it's just really cool to be going and actually HAVE tickets.

Wahay! Got my tickets for London!! I too am a bit concerned that our tickets are marked as "general admission"...does this mean that we're going to have to fight for pole position on the day?? I really hope not because I always end up at the back.

LindaR:

YES! Just got our tickets for our family!
But...
What exactly is General Admission? And why won't you tell us our seat numbers, I do hope we won't be disappointed cos we've been looking forward to this for so long! Please email seat numbers soon... x

Mhairi:

Is anyone else having trouble getting tickets for Glasgow?

Ben Rumbold:

General admission, if it's at Cardiff anyway, might mean like a rock gig where you just file in and stand there jostlin with people. I'll be OK, I'm 6 foot 5, ha ha haaa... I pity you who ends up behind me... but us tall uns need to get close too... ;o)

Sadly, Karma always gets me for spoilng someone's gig, whch I do just by standing in front of them, and thus Karma always sends the most annoying, loud-mouthed, drunken idiot to stumble into me and spoil MY gig too!! :o(

doug:

just got 5 for glasgow, but same as everybody is saying whats the seating going to be like so i phoned tinselworm and they have no idea ?

Amanda:

I didn't buy any. I didn't like it that we couldn't choose our tickets. I'll take my chances with the venue box office next week.

Niki:

Yeah the fact that the NIA has been selling them for weeks worried me too but from what I can gather they often have "presales" where they put a restricted number of seats on sale in advance. That's not to say all the good seats were taken - it's possible they weren't on sale to begin with. Since there are only 30,000 on sale for this website I'd imagine that they've booked a block at each venue which would be purely "fanclub", and will allocate from that. It's been done before with concerts and the like, anyway.

Mhairi:

Fianlly got two for Glasgow (phew). Had to book on hubbys computer.

Been too poor before to see any of the shows (struggling student blah blah blah). Can't wait now....yay!.

BK:

Amanda said ... "I didn't buy any. I didn't like it that we couldn't choose our tickets. I'll take my chances with the venue box office next week."

I think that is madness. Read the FAQ - the General Admission just means that tickets will be allocated later (probably still on a first-come, first-served basis). I guess the reason for this is that it saves them having a more compex booking system (which knows which seats have gone and which are left), like TicketMonster.

AMANDA - get in there and book NOW!

Angus:

Hurrah! 2 tickets at MEN.
Whats general admission mean?

John:

I've used Trinity Street presales before for gigs, and they never allocated specific tickets at the time. The seats eventually allocated have always been very good (first 10 rows or similar).

BK:

There have been a number of comments that the NIA have had tickets on sale for a while already. However, if you had checked their booking site, you would see very few tickets in blocks A-F (ie the best seats). I'd be prepared to bet my shirt that this is where the bollbailey.co.uk allocation is! ;)

Ian T:

What Mhairi said.

Look at the FAQs. The company behind the booking system have secured a block of seats for people booking through the website. The tickets you've got will be allocated from these seats and you'll find out where they are when you get the tickets (it's not a case of getting there early for the best seats, you'll know when you get the tickets).

I would assume they're good seats but it's just a case of wait and see which is a shame, but ask anyone who's tried to get tickets from ticketbas*ard in the past, this system seems a lot better.

Actually, when the tickets go on general sale (another general!) next week, it'll be interesting to see which blocks have already sold out, that might give an idea as to where the website tickets have gone!!!

Always thinking :-)

Ian T

Sally:

Hurrah! Just got my 2 for the NIA on the 23rd! Cannay wait!

(also - they're on release direct from the NIA webiste)

hurrah!

RH:

From the tour details page: "Tickets are labelled 'General Admission' but you will be allocated seats on a first come first served basis and will always get the best seats available at each venue at the time of booking. Your tickets, when sent to you, will include information on your allocated seat numbers."

Suzy:

Yippee! See you in Birmingham! :-D

Martin:

I really cant imagine it being a stampede...especially at the Clyde Auditorium which has the added danger of balcony seats! I would think, that the first 10 rows or something will be reserved for people who bought their tickets before they went on general sale and we will be allocated a seat within those 10 rows.

Manceinion:

Thanks a million!

I tried earlier and wasn't able to book tickets as I'm in Ireland. But I rang and they fixed it!

EXELENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Sorry for doubting ye! =P

See you in Manchester Bill, you'll make my brother's 21st!!!

Helen:

It wont let me get passed choosing how many tickets i want- are they all sold out!?

Scott:

Should I have received an email confirmation of my order by now? I filled in the forms about 9.05am but when I pressed CONFIRM button I was taken back to the first screen with nothing to indicate that my order has gone through. I've received no email confirmation yet so I am rather worried. I can't afford to buy 2 more tickets just to be on the safe side in case the first 2 tickets were actually ordered (and no, we don't know anybody else who would come). Anyone else had this problem?

Loo:

Hey there... don't panic. I rang the number for the Trinity Street Ticketing and a very nice lady got back to me. Apparently we will all have a seat (for the evening and not to take home!) and the seat numbers will be allocated on a first come first served basis.... soooo it seems that we shall be rewarded for being ever so slightly fanatical and get decent seats on the floor near the front (don't quote me on this as 'Ticketripoff' may have a better allocation but we live in hope that the Great One looks after the Loyal!!)

See ya in Manchester
Hurrah!!!

Ermy:

Wooo, got my tickets for MEN at 9.07- hopefully that means we'll have great seats!
I've only seen Mr Bailey once before, at the Pleasance Theatre in London, which is tiny! It will be a bit different in an arena... but I know it shall be awesome!
x

Helen:

Woo hoo. Had to leave my mum to book mine (stupid work training) but she assures me that all was a success!! :)

Wooooo!

Two tickets for Glasgow. Can NOT wait!

Hopefully the best seats are available to us.

Jason:

Wey! Champions

Just ordered a pair of tickets for Manchester. Like all of you, I too am a little concerned over seating. Anyway, so what. Its Bill Bailey. Can't wait

Simon:

Got my tickets for cardiff!!! get in!

General admission means we will have seats. If you go through to the tour information page they say that the tickets will have seat numbers on them but they don't know which ones as of yet.

I would expect that we won't get front row but will be great seats.

I can't wait to see he new material.

I hope we are allocated - would be pointless booking at 9am otherwise!!!

AndyT:

got my ticks for cardiff!! only one concern, well 2 actually. it says in the conf email that tickets will be sent 4 weeks before the event!! cutting it a bit fine if you ask me. and the other thing is, is it a reputable ticket company? i guess it is as bill wouldnt use it. hope so. 7 months is a looooong time to wait, but itll be worth it im sure!! rock on!

BiGdAvE:

YYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH

I bought my tickets NANANANA!!!

Just a little worried and concerned considering the price of the tickets (which are worth it) but the concern like everyone else today is that it says general admission, the concern particularly for me is that ive bought 3 tickets one special shiny one (lol) for me and two normal unmagical ones for two friends, im worried just how general are general admission tickets, as i will be more than flaying people alive if my three tickets arent seated together.

Is there anyone or anyway to clear this confusion up like a new news update clarifying the situation.

THOR DEMANDS ANSWERS NOW!!!

excuse me, i apologise, please please please clear this up,,, pretty pleeeeeaasee!!!

Alexandra:

I had to rush out of assembly and to my Sixth Form study room to get tickets this morning 2 minutes past nine I finished putting my details in but wasn't asked for my card details and gave my home email address so I thought they'd send a special code or something so I had a double free just before lunch went home to have a look no email except telling me they were on sale I just left it thinking the confirmation hadn't come throught yet only managed to get tickets at 5:30pm I have been a Bill Bailey FAN ( fan is an understatement so I thought I'd put it in bold) since I was 11 this is my first opportunity to see him cos I couldn't make it to see Steampunk at the Edinburgh festival so I'll REALLY feel let down (since seeing Bill is my whole life's purpose) if I'm not in the front row I'm only 4"11 as well so I NEED a front row seat anyway WHY WHY isn't it first to arrive can pick your own seats also Bill this is the closest your coming to the good ol' wes' cun'ry and no dates in your home town can't emphasise my sheer horror enough and you can't say it's because you're getting old cos your still as spritely as ever and also I planned to go to three shows but Cardiff is the only one I can make *sigh* anyway enough of my ramblings it's just to feed my cravings for disappointment I LIVE FOR DISAPPOINTMENT but of course disappointment is ALWAYS second to Bill
Chillaxin' with my gnomies xox

Alexandra:

PHEWSH sorry about the rant seeing Bill anywhere anytime anyplace just puts me in the mood for dancing romancing and eating bees *sigh* I feel maybe Bill if your listeneing, which I severely doubt and if you were be quite worried about cos funnily enough you can't hear writing unless you have on of those talking computer things that say the words on the screen but then how would you even be able to tear yourself away from the screen to do such a show as the fantastically named Tinselworm (can't wait for the t-shirts!!!), a seat on the stage or a breif passing with you over some complimentary mint chocolate things mmmmmmmmmmmm After Eights would do just fine
Live long and prosper oh mighty sperm whale of the sky (oh yes I watched the making of the film and you recording your masterpiece at least you had more lines than the bowl of petunias!!)

Jo:

Yey, booked two tickets for Sheffield. I usually never get lucky with stuff like this but got mine at about 9.05am! I hope all the website fans get the best seats. Is the customer number sequential I wonder? Roll on November, I can't wait to see Bill and his lovely Theramin.
jo x

Tomtom:

Tinselworm! lol what the hell is a tinselworm :D - some christmassy Genetic reering mistake...the worm crept into the pod with the tinsel!
I trust that Kindly Bill however and I hope he gives us early ones the close up tickets, if i can't feel his breath on my face I'm not happy :D

Kevin Murphy:

The ticketing company being used are fine, they recently handled the Arctic Monkeys tour. One drawback is that they use courier service to send tickets so you just have to hope you are in to sign for them.

lisa:

i hope the fan club do get the good seats - if they don't then its a rubbish fan club lol

Sheradan Miller:

WOOOOP! Only 203 days till I see your bearded self performing to me in Newcastle! Its hell waiting!

Hchie:

Like people have said before, general admission means the seats are allocated for you in the block reserved for website users, so they aren't gonna give us crappy seats are they...

Nick Tranter:

Hasn't anyone read the webpage which explains that, although the ticket site states general admission, seats are allocated on a first come first served basis and you'll find out your seat numbers when the tickets are sent out. Quite simple really.

Little Tears of Joy!

Hooray for the pale mythical wardens of the treasure.

They will be holding my tickets for Manchester safe within their sacred warehouse of joys!

Derek:

Happy days, i booked my tickets for Glasgow at 9.18 this morning. Only just been to see Jimmy Carr there, and it seems to be a good venue for comedy. I'm glad of the quote above from Angus:

"I've used Trinity Street presales before for gigs, and they never allocated specific tickets at the time. The seats eventually allocated have always been very good (first 10 rows or similar)."

So i'm happy about the seats overall :)

Max Warren:

I never thought I'd have a reason for wanting to go to Wembley, now I do!

Lyndsay Haddock:

gawsh bill bailey tickets...im so happy i nearly cried.

just shows what having fast fingers can do...book at 9:04 magic....it was even before the announcement in the "latest news"

MASSIVE FAN! and proud baby!

xxxxxx

Dave:

Does anyone know if the tickets say sold out now will more be released wen they go on general sale

daft aider:

OK it states general admission but it neglects to state whether I can bring my shrews in or not!

michael:

I have got my tickets for Cardiff and like many others posting previously they say General Admission, this for Cardiff Arena does mean that it's standing room only. Though with this being comedy I seriously doubt that.
Also, I phoned the Arena and they know NOTHING about Bill being there in November, and if you head over to Ticketmaster for the 21st Nov 07 at Cardiff Arena they have a performance by Fantsmagoria!

I am not to worried about the seats though, they will have to seat the venue and it's quite small anyway. Hopefully with a presale we will be nearer the front than the back

gnome queen:

Hi

But annoyed, I actually booked my tickets for Birmingham on 19th April to be told they'd go on sale a couple of weeks before, meaning I am not near the front like I was rying to be, still at least I get to see the troll like one.

Daniel Rose:

GOT MY FOOKING TICKETS!
And yeah it is first come first serve so wooooooh.
Got mine on the first day so i would imagin they are good seats.

SECOND TIME SEEING YOU BILL

BETTER BE GOOD!

Neil:

Hey,

Just booked two tickets for Glasgow.

disappointed to see that someone is actually trying to make money out of this on ebay.

99p ! Come on, if that's why you register for a newsletter, are you really a fan ????

Paul Graham-Clarke:

I am so happy that I have received tickets to this eagerly awaited show but am a little concerned as to where we will be seated, especially as 29,991 others will be in attendance as well !!

Katy:

Hi,

It says here that the Manchester Arena is sold out. Does that mean just the "put-aside" tickets for website members and that there will be tickets available on Thursday??

daft aider:

tis OK with cardiff cia as they made a cock up on their end and looks like they double booked but Bill WILL be there if anyone else is worried!

Simon Farrar:

Goin to see the main man in action TWICE now! GET INVOLVED!! Just got another set of tickets bang on 10am to be as close as possible for the 1st showing!(that is how it works no?)
Anyone else think Johnathan Ross was a bit of tool last night?? 'Youre not an attractive man..' 1. What you on about???!! and 2. So what? Hes a soddin genius unlike the rest of the wooden headcase guests!!

Jay:

I got my tickets as soon as they came on sale, but it wouldnt link me to the pre order site untill 9.04, was it just very busy, or did they go on late? Coz seats are worked out on time ticket was bought, so i just wana know if i was early or in the rush. Equaly it says members of the website? does that mean people on the mailing list, or hav i missed sumet?
