The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists

This Sunday, Bill appears in a new radio adaptation of Robert Tressell's classic socialist novel "The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists". This 3 part series, which also features Andrew Lincoln, Johnny Vegas and Kevin Eldon, tells the story of a group of painter-decorators in the early 1900s who break their backs to make money for their rich bosses whilst fellow workman Frank Owen desperately attempts to convince them that their could be a better way.

The first part is broadcast this Sunday on Radio 4 at 3pm, and is repeated the following Saturday at 9pm. It is also available on Listen Again throughout the week. To access this, and for more information on the programme, visit the Radio 4 website.
